This is an exciting venture for me as I love, love, LOVE stationery!!! (kinda addicted to it).
I’ve also been working and practising my lettering, calligraphy and design work and seeing how I can incorporate my artist flare into my creative process with my clients and on my personal projects. If you have time please check out my shop and I also encourage you to support your local artist. (THEY TRUELY PUT HEART INTO THERE WORK).
I’ve designed NEW wall decor/wall art with black & gold ink (and sometimes with sparkling stones 😉 it’s so much fun.
Some sample of my artwork (I hope you like them) Cheers!!
Dressember is a month of wearing dresses for 31 days. Why? You ask…
The core meaning is opposing the worldwide trafficking and exploitation of women. A powerful fundraising campaign, aligned with International Justice Mission, a human rights organization that works to rescue victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression.
Why should you care?… well I’m glad you asked. It’s to support and be part of a powerful movement to abolish modern day slavery! The heart of Dressember is “freedom, that every women has the right to live a vibrant and autonomous life”.
Tonight as I was journaling the old fashion way (paper & pen) and then all of a sudden I knew I was writing down things from my heart – I hope you can be encouraged and move forward to greater things . I calling this piece ‘fear not’
I’ve been living a life of fear
fear of the unknown
fear of tomorrow
fear of missing the mark
fear of rejection
fear of success
fear of being judged
fear of being ignored
fear of being alone
fear of love
fear of hate
fear of being compared
fear of … who know’s what else
Fear is a spirit, that takes the pleasure of crippling a person to move forward
But it’s too late for you now fear…. i’ve looked you in the face. You have no grasp on me now. I’ve taken that leap, I’m shouting from the mountain top, and running towards perfect LOVE, power and sound mind.
A crazy idea that became a reality! Well let me tell you the story. Once a upon a time.. ok well not like that! One day I saw an ad that Dove was casting for a commercial. Of course not really thinking too much of it I picked a fun, creative picture of myself and filled out few questions and pressed sent. Surprisingly I was asked to come in for an interview for an interview screening! This was legit right! I said to myself! Looked into it further more and yes it was really happening. After the interview I got an email followed by a phone call that I was one of the 50 ladies selected out of 4000 applicants across Canada!! Was this really happening…
The experience was surreal and tons of fun! And to top it off I got paid as an actual model/actor… which was the icing on the cake.
I met friendly and passionate individuals that really made it very special and comfortable for me to be in front of the camera.
well not that I had the honor of smashing the cake but I did get the privilege of capturing the moment. I found out that little girls don’t barge into things as boys. The lovely untouched cake, exposed to be attached by tiny fist & feet only received a little tap here and there. Then the parents were encouraged to get involved, it was a fantastic time with the entire family!
until next time then… hope to be the one to smash a lovely cake!
Photoshoot with my brother aka ‘model’ ‘actor’ ‘professional dancer’ and all around a pretty cool friend to hang out with. My brother has been growing this beard for awhile and asked me to take some pictures before he shaved it all off. Here are few of the images we took I would like to call it the ‘modern day viking’ or Bible time character ‘moses’ ‘noah’ … anywhoo enjoy 🙂
