Taking the first step of change is always the hardest but it must be done. It’s a beautiful Sunday afternoon, a bit cooler but the sun is keeping everyone happy and warm. My new venture with health, fitness and motivation. I got hired as a Circuit Coach at a gym in which I’m loving and learning every single day. Leaning about the major muscles in our body and what each machine does, some names such as pectoral, rhomboid, trapezius, latissimus dorsi, tensor fasciae latae and much more. I’m a visual learner so I got the images printed and laminated them to help me retain the information. Almost three weeks into this position, I’ve build great friendships with the members and started to remember their names. As the oldest child, I have that natural ability to coach and have an ear to hear what my members are saying with their words and actions. I truly believe this is a God connection and I’m looking forward to being part of something bigger than what I know right now. Till then stay strong, and stay motivated.
Comparison the deadly pill!
The uniqueness of our beauty is put to death when we compare ourselves to another. Our fingerprints and DNA cries out to be different, each one is valued and created marvelously. When we realize this, then the process begins of unwrapping our God given gifts, talents and vision.
I think every time we ignore our self identity and try to copy someone else we lose something precious and the world, our community of influence have lost a special contribution only you and I can give.
Comparison the deadly kill! Strong words I know. But we need to recognize who we are and ‘whose’ we are. God masterfully designed our complex being only to find what our soul was thirsting all this time. A connection with the creator, only then you will know yourself and the worth to be someone else will soon disappear like the morning fog that comes and goes ever so quickly.
Let’s take a risk of stepping out and being true to ourselves and from that truth we can truly inspire others to do the same.
Dressember is a month of wearing dresses for 31 days. Why? You ask…
The core meaning is opposing the worldwide trafficking and exploitation of women. A powerful fundraising campaign, aligned with International Justice Mission, a human rights organization that works to rescue victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression.
Why should you care?… well I’m glad you asked. It’s to support and be part of a powerful movement to abolish modern day slavery! The heart of Dressember is “freedom, that every women has the right to live a vibrant and autonomous life”.

Shake it off, no I’m not referring to the new Taylor Swift’s song but stress-SHAKE IT OFF and how to deal with it.
The last leg of the race in school (4 more weeks) to go and it seems like everything is due tomorrow. Not to mention work, friends, and staying fit and healthy, so today I decided to do some digging around on google and find out what the heck do you do with stress, the right way.
I found a relevant article on stress, and it’s not as hard as it sounds to live a stress free life. Check it out! Some good pointers (http://relm.ag/Ya6f5G)
- Stop having a pity party and look outside of your-self to encourage someone else through phone, email, text or meet up. Showing compassion and care will take the focus of just me, myself & I attitude
- Writing things down. Either of what needs to be down or maybe any hurts or frustrations, and be honest to yourself in how you feel.
- Be active! Take a walk, or go to the gym, rather than eat-drink-sleep
The ‘Serenity Prayer’ comes to mind, which would take a load off
“God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.”
A crazy idea that became a reality! Well let me tell you the story. Once a upon a time.. ok well not like that! One day I saw an ad that Dove was casting for a commercial. Of course not really thinking too much of it I picked a fun, creative picture of myself and filled out few questions and pressed sent. Surprisingly I was asked to come in for an interview for an interview screening! This was legit right! I said to myself! Looked into it further more and yes it was really happening. After the interview I got an email followed by a phone call that I was one of the 50 ladies selected out of 4000 applicants across Canada!! Was this really happening…
The experience was surreal and tons of fun! And to top it off I got paid as an actual model/actor… which was the icing on the cake.
I met friendly and passionate individuals that really made it very special and comfortable for me to be in front of the camera.
Here’s some candid images I got to snap … enjoy
Now all I see is an empty nest. Almost a month ago the night light outside the door was occupied by two lovely love birds and soon after two adorable baby love birds captured my attention and heart. As the days passed these infant creatures matured rapidly maybe too fast for my liking but what a joy to see the development stages. I was thrilled! overjoyed! and yes even blessed to had the experience watching, talking and loving on these beautiful family from a distance. But now when I open the front door all I see is an empty nest filled with wonder, joy, sadness and even hopeful. Funny enough this year i’ve seen an increase of love birds which is fine by me, more the merrier!!
My first ‘CAKE SMASH!!’
well not that I had the honor of smashing the cake but I did get the privilege of capturing the moment. I found out that little girls don’t barge into things as boys. The lovely untouched cake, exposed to be attached by tiny fist & feet only received a little tap here and there. Then the parents were encouraged to get involved, it was a fantastic time with the entire family!
until next time then… hope to be the one to smash a lovely cake!
Photoshoot with my brother aka ‘model’ ‘actor’ ‘professional dancer’ and all around a pretty cool friend to hang out with. My brother has been growing this beard for awhile and asked me to take some pictures before he shaved it all off. Here are few of the images we took I would like to call it the ‘modern day viking’ or Bible time character ‘moses’ ‘noah’ … anywhoo enjoy 🙂
