This is an exciting venture for me as I love, love, LOVE stationery!!! (kinda addicted to it).
I’ve also been working and practising my lettering, calligraphy and design work and seeing how I can incorporate my artist flare into my creative process with my clients and on my personal projects. If you have time please check out my shop and I also encourage you to support your local artist. (THEY TRUELY PUT HEART INTO THERE WORK).
I’ve designed NEW wall decor/wall art with black & gold ink (and sometimes with sparkling stones 😉 it’s so much fun.
Some sample of my artwork (I hope you like them) Cheers!!
Before we jump into making a Vision Board, let’s take a step back and figure out what is a Vision Board. It’s a creative collage, typically a poster where you can paste images that inspire you! It can be words and images of goals and dreams in all areas of your life or you can specific an area that you want to focus on. For 2015 I’m excited to join friends that will be doing a Vision Board party. I can’t wait to get this party started!! Let me know if you plan to do one for 2015 and send me a link of your creative piece.
A crazy idea that became a reality! Well let me tell you the story. Once a upon a time.. ok well not like that! One day I saw an ad that Dove was casting for a commercial. Of course not really thinking too much of it I picked a fun, creative picture of myself and filled out few questions and pressed sent. Surprisingly I was asked to come in for an interview for an interview screening! This was legit right! I said to myself! Looked into it further more and yes it was really happening. After the interview I got an email followed by a phone call that I was one of the 50 ladies selected out of 4000 applicants across Canada!! Was this really happening…
The experience was surreal and tons of fun! And to top it off I got paid as an actual model/actor… which was the icing on the cake.
I met friendly and passionate individuals that really made it very special and comfortable for me to be in front of the camera.
Everyone has a style of writing and capturing the reader. Finding your own unique style, technique or your rhythm to this madness LOL of writing (that is)
Of course it doesn’t come easily…time and time again it comes with practice. (right?)
Writing for a local newspaper for almost for one year made me change the way I put words on paper. What I’ve learned in school and even on my personal blog… well throw that out the door, ok fine there were few pointers to take into consideration. Staring at a blank screen or paper can make a person go crazy with frustration
It all comes down to this K.I.S.S. :))
Keep it Simple!
Practice & Practice!
Be conscious what you’re writing & read it out loud (I was told it helps)
The truth be told i’m still in search of my ‘Voice’ (on paper) the style I would like to call my own with interest, power & passion and of course must add some fun to the process, be teachable and be an avid reader (who knows you might come across a writer that you can relate to)
Recently I got a bruise on my arm and before it became better it turned purple and blue and kinda of a showcase for my close friends and family. Some accidents leave a scare or a visible mark never to leave which becomes a quick reminder of the incident and even a start up conversation with strangers.
But I would like to share and talk about emotional healing. Does TIME really heal a broken heart?!! I wish I can confidently say a Big YES! but time is not THEE CURE. When you don’t face up to the fact of your hurting emotions of what is going on inside your heart, its like sweeping the dirt under the mat and once in a awhile you trip on it, its always going to be there. I am talking about your hurts, disappointments, mistrust, bitterness, anger… If you’re still reading this.. please allow me to share that Emotional Healing is possible. These extra ‘baggages’ can and should be thrown out .. per say!
Deal With It!
Talk It Out!
Be Real & Transparent!
Face The Ugly Truth!
like my healing arm it became worst before it started to look ‘normal’ & to heal
I needed God’s Great Grace and Strength with the support of family and friends. If going through a bruised or broken heart, one should never walk this season alone, if you’re in any doubt cry out to God! He is Real and He Perfects the broken heart and mends it with a brand new one.
A little test to see if you have forgiven the person that has hurt you is when you see or come in contact with that individual do you cringe? does your stomach turn? then there’s still a bit of ‘residue’ that needs to be dealt with.
One thing we must never do is to try and move forward in life when its not dealt with! Do not ignore or sweep it under the mat. Our responsibility is with our own emotions and actions, we don’t have control of what the other person choose to do or not to do. Choosing to go through the pain and deal with it will cause this ugly face not to creep up in an year or twenty years from now also another huge thing if its not dealt with other relationships and friendships can be damaged and hurtful because it will be filtered through these pain
Life is too precious to walk this journey with a broken heart! There is Hope.
I’ve always love to be outdoors and I am a pretty active individual but recently i’ve slipped into a mode of making excuses of not keeping myself more discipline in the area of my workouts. I am a person that love to try new challenges! that being said .. this summer (that is slowing coming to a close) I signed up for CrossFit – which was amazing and extremely changeling the way of their workouts. But it wasn’t what i fully enjoyed as a workout regime. Even though my body got into shape i wasn’t the hardcore weight lifter. I love running and always have but for some odd reason i gave into my emotions in how i would feel that day, so sporadically I would go for a brisk walk maybe a quick run. I knew i had to do something. Last month I saw a picture of myself and i knew I had to get back in shape. Soooo once again I was looking for some form of motivation / inspiration out “there” … wherever that was.. but didn’t find it! I looked inside me and knew I had to dig deep and find my drive – my passion that once made me to finish a half a marathon last year. WOOP! (by the Grace of God ) AND that’s when the 21 day Challenge Idea came about 🙂 I would post it on FB so all of my friends would know and it was almost an accountable thing .. it showed them what i was up too and i hope it might motivate them to keep fit and healthy but mostly it was for myself to be accountable to someone .. or in this case to some 100 friends LOL
So here I am almost finishing my 21 Day Challenge.. I have to say I LOVE IT!
So you ask what’s next? .. well my friends come back and check it out.. and i’ll keep you updated 🙂
