Shop open on etsy!

Hello my darling,

This year I’ve been busy creating and designing new art work and I finally opened shop on etsy!!!

This is an exciting venture for me as I love, love, LOVE stationery!!! (kinda addicted to it).

I’ve also been working and practising my lettering, calligraphy and design work and seeing how I can incorporate my artist flare into my creative process with my clients and on my personal projects. If you have time please check out my shop and I also encourage you to support your local artist. (THEY TRUELY PUT HEART INTO THERE WORK).

I’ve designed NEW wall decor/wall art with black & gold ink (and sometimes with sparkling stones 😉 it’s so much fun.

Some sample of my artwork (I hope you like them) Cheers!!

My Visit To A Lavender Farm

I finally got to visit a Lavender Farm this summer! A friend of mine, told me about her experience visiting one in the States and how she loved every moment of it. So we talked about visiting one close to us before summer ended. And that’s exactly what we did. The day was gorgeous! We drove north with the car windows down feeling the cool hot breeze, while we enjoyed the  beautiful farm landscapes.

The owner was a sweet lady that took us on her golf cart through her property. Rows filled the land where she stopped several times to pick up various French & British lavenders, and explained the difference of each one of them.

At the end of the tour, I found myself at a small store where everything from honey, soap, lotion, body oil and much more were made with the sweet fragrance of lavender. We even tasted coconut and chocolate samples with lavender. YUM!!!

We took it all in!! Love Lavender

First Snow Fall

January 2014

Let it snow! let it snow! let it snow!

The first snow fall used to be magical but today I woke up, looked outside and emit a long deep breath! I soon realize I would need to start waking up a bit early, clean my car, take time to layer up and give time for slow traffic.

What happened? I grew up?!!

I used to love playing in the snow, go skating or tobogganing and so much more.  I just realized I had become too preoccupied with work and school that I didn’t or choose not to see the beauty of it all.

Nothing to be concerned though, it’s just the beginning of winter, I will come around …hopefully, to enjoy winter, maybe even build a snowman.  So I shall sing, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

summer canoe trip 2014

Picture 16

The canoe trip at the beautiful Algoniquin Park was a highlight of my summer. The group consisted of 14 people. We journeyed by driving around 3 hours North to our outfitters. When we finally reach to our destination we packed our personal belongings to large waterproof bags that was usually shared by 2 people, foodbags that weight around 140lbs (which I carried and fell flat on my back … more to that story) and equipment bag that had all our tents, sleeping bags..etc.

Apparently I was chosen with my canoe partner to scout the area to find the best place for the team to camp the nights. The first step onto a canoe and paddling into the beautiful lake felt amazing. Finally felt it was summer with its bright sunlight, fresh air and all things beautiful with nature.

Being in the wilderness with great friends was amazing! The first night sleeping in the tent, my body was sore, cold and felt had pain all over my body through canoeing, portage and trying to carry a bag that weight a ton! But surprisingly my body adapted its routine and felt alive and well the second night of our trip.

The beauty, serenity and the stillness of the lake and nature was breathtaking, its something you stare and ponder of how beautiful our planet is and how still so many things to be discovered.

Summer is slowly ending but the experience and memories will last, looking forward for more canoe adventures in the near future

A crazy idea that  became a reality! Well let me tell you the story. Once a upon a time.. ok well not like that! One day I saw an ad that Dove was casting for a commercial. Of course not really thinking too much of it I picked a fun, creative picture of myself and filled out few questions and pressed sent. Surprisingly I was asked to come in for an interview for an interview screening! This was legit right! I said to myself! Looked into it further more and yes it was really happening. After the interview I got an email followed by a phone call that I was one of the 50 ladies selected out of 4000 applicants across Canada!! Was this really happening…

The experience was surreal and tons of fun! And to top it off I got paid as an actual model/actor… which was the icing on the cake.

I met friendly and passionate individuals that really made it very special and comfortable for me to be in front of the camera.

Here’s some candid images I got to snap … enjoy

First Time Portaging

First Time Portaging

First time portaging with few of my friends at Bon Echo was the perfect getaway for the long weekend. After a 7 hours long canoeing and then carrying the canoe to the next destination and repeat this four times or … Continue reading

Winter Wonderland

This year we have received almost the four season packed up in one season called ‘winter’.  Let me explain a day of summer, spring, autumn and winter.  A year to remember for sure, well it was no surprise when we got hit by another snow storm.  Yes, its Canadian weather and why should we be surprise by these white fluffly stuff anyways.. well it can bring joy to a child’s ear to hear the words snow or tears to the once that needs to keep on shoveling their driveway every few hours.

Last night we got hit by a storm, it started just after midnight, out of curiosity I looked outside my window not thinking too much of the weather man’s report when everything I laid my eyes on was just white already.  What!! the storm is here not that I was about to jump in my car and drive away at that moment but usually the storm doesn’t come later on after a report have been announced for few hours or so.

Today, I made up my mind and said ‘Veronica’ you shall go outside and capture some beautiful images after the storm.. well I didn’t really speak to myself like that but you get the idea.  All bundled up except i forgot my gloves which really doesn’t come handy when you’re a photographer.  Took a ride and wholla got some images, to my surprise the snow have already gone from the trees.. yeah i know i should have listened to the other half of the weather man that rain shall soon follow .. so you can imagine snow and rain equals slush!! and more slush… I realized I wasn’t the only crazy person out and about, I saw one other footprint.. oh wait! was it a human print … the story of the day my friends.  If you live in a country where you don’t get snow.. well then you’re totally missing out!! oh yeah… 😉
